The 2050Today climate journey

2050Today helps the institutions of international Geneva to reduce their carbon footprint thanks to a clear, structured 5-step climate pathway.

This process enables institutions to measure, define, plan and implement a concrete, progressive climate strategy tailored to their specific context.

Every step of the way, 2050Today provides personalised support and access to dedicated tools.

FAQ

All the institutions of international Geneva (international organisations, permanent missions, NGOs, civil and academic entities, multinational companies) are invited to join the 2050Today coalition by signing the Charter.

The support provided by 2050Today and access to the various tools are available free of charge to all the institutions of international Geneva.

The 2050Today Charter must be signed by the director of your institution.

Your institution undertakes to respect the five principles of the charter:

1. Measure your carbon footprint
2. Assess your initial situation in the selected thematic areas
3. Define an action plan
4. Share your action plan with 2050Today
5. Communicate on your climate actions

Signing the charter does not imply any legal or financial obligation.

Yes, any institution – including those that are already advanced in their climate action efforts – is invited to join 2050Today to benefit from our network of institutions, partners and organised workshops or events.

The detailed carbon footprint results are only available to the focal points of each institution and are shared with 2050Today.
A summary version of the carbon footprint (total emissions and breakdown by category) is published on each institution’s 2050Today web page.
